| I am interested in a career in technical editing and am currently
researching "the levels of edit" to
| determine how technical editors organize/prioritize the editorial process
(also in preparation for a
| class project).

Hello,
As an additional reference, you might check "Technical Editing" by Carolyn
D. Rude. (I have never worked with an exclusive editor -- at all my writing
jobs, writers edited each other's docs or (in at one position) one writer
was designated as editor for a specific project.

(I am new to this list, and have been lurking for nearly a week now.)
