Maybe I AM starting to see the plus side of a technical writer
certification.
I was in a different field at one time and in that field were Records
Managers...the people that run the corporate file system. The certification
was CRM; Certified Records Manager. In my field, it was valued, it was hard
to get, and it equated to additional rate. You could also loose it if you
didn't maintain a certain level of continuing education.

You mean to tell me that file clerks can be certified and the subject is so
verboten for us to even consider it?
