From: "Darren Barefoot" <darren -dot- Barefoot -at- capeclear -dot- com> So, what's the weirdest thing you've done in your job recently?

I'm up to my you-know-what writing test plans and test scripts. I started this task out of desperation, since we hadn't hired a software QA person yet and the software is nearing completion. (I work in a strange environment, remember -- a biotech firm creating software only used in our labs.) When I recently asked when we were going to hire the QA person, I was told that since I am doing such a good job of managing the software testing, that they decided to put of the QA position "for the time being."

Maybe a tech writer becoming a QA manager isn't too strange, but I sure would like to get back to writing Requirements. And, I should at least have had a few weeks training, instead of the one on-line webinar that I found a while back.
