Only in the most general sense. See <http://www.capterra.com/softdef>
for support of this definition. In the context of IT, it has a more
specific meaning - enterprise software or an enterprise solution is
something that applies to the entire organization, the whole enterprise.

No, file-serving is a technology designed largely for the workgroup
market. On your office LAN, you have a fileserver. By way of comparison,
management of those fileservers may be through an enterprise application,
possibly using NDS or AD. User profiles may be maintained at an
enterprise level using LDAP. The mailserver may also be an enterprise
solution, located at the corporate office in Akron or Teaneck or
Waukataukwa. It doesn't just mean 'corporate', it means 'for most or all
of the corporation'. An enterprise rollout of a Windows upgrade is a scary
thing. An enterprise audit of Windows licenses, more so.

"SAP" is an acronym meaning "run away".
