... but not just any engineering task, nor could she call herself an
engineer in an accredited field (and I assume that that is what she meant
when she capitalized "Engineer"). Mary is correct on this one, at least in
Ontario.
Many an engineering graduate student has discovered that having an advanced
degree in engineering isn't necessarily sufficient, either. And *that*
blows a four-day workshop right out of the water.
The laws of physics don't change, but our understanding of them *does*, as
do design tolerances, technologies and appropriate methodologies. Just look
at biomedical engineering for a prime example.
