IF was looking at resumes, and saw an almost-20 year old degree in
Mathematics, what I would get out of it is that you had a mind-set capable
of comprehending that type of thought processes, and therefore, if I had
similar types of thought processes that needed to be documented, you'd be
more likely able to pick it up.

But then, that's only me.

And sometimes, even legitimate degrees don't mean a lot. I have a degree in

Mathematics(Computer Science Emphasis). Which means that in 1986 I spent a
whole lot of time (12 credit hours) taking otherwise unrelated classes that
were only offered to non-computer-science-majors. The coursework was done
on VAX computers, using Assembly language, FORTRAN, Pascal, and Modula II.
