I use Mozilla as my mail tool (on Windows--I use the KDE mail tool in Linux)

As you probably know, you can use Mozilla in Linux, too.

However, did you know that you can use the same mail folders if you have Windows and Linux on the same computer? Support for Windows partitions is usually turned on with most Linux distributions, so all you have to do is make sure that the Windows partition with Mozilla on it is mounted automatically in /etc/fstab, then create links for your Linux mail folders to your Windows ones.

It's a simple little trick, but it can be very convenient if you have to move back and forth between the two operating systems.
