I've always worked for small companies. I've always been hired by and
usually reported to the VP of Development (sometimes VP of Research and
Development).

Hi, guys....gig-search time is approaching (end of Jan) and I'm going to
attempt to actually look for a position rather than wait for an agency to
find me with one. Therefore, I'd like to *gasp* market myself to those who
hire technical writers, both contract and perm.

So...in an effort to hit as many types of positions as possible, I was
wondering if you would care to contribute to the list of positions who hire
writers...maybe the title of the person who hired you in the past. When
contribution activity slows down, I'll make the complete list available to
everyone who is interested.

I'll start off:

CIO
CTO
Manager/VP, IT
Manager/VP, Customer Relationship Manager
Manager/VP, Enterprise Application Integration
Manager/VP, Tech Pubs
Manager/VP, Technical Communications
Manager/VP, QA
Manager/VP, Engineering
Manager/VP, Network Operations

All suggestions welcome
