Like I said - call it the Society of Documentation or Society of Technical
Presentation. Since content isn't dicussed, then its not a society of
communication.

-----Response-----

I have to disagree slightly--only slightly.

Content is not communication (if an ARP cache is flushed in the woods, and
no one is around...?)

Transmission of that content is.

So, rather than take on the burden of the multitude of technologies that the
members may or may not know about, the STC focuses on a higher, more common
layer--the transmission of the content, along with all the tools,
methodologies, and fonts that implies.

Kinda like packets. I can receive a packet with a bum payload, or not
receive it at all. Either way, the message is lost.

Jason
