This also assumes that the documentation being judged relates to a
Windows application. Lots of TW does not.

I don't think my employer would want to lend a Remote Access
Concentrator to the STC judges just so they could very that my document
is technical correct for some contest....

Why should STC competition judges be expected to load some unknown piece
of software on their machines just to judge the contest? The last thing
I want to do is clutter my registry with the detritus of a dozen beta
versions of some application that I would never want on my computer in
the first place.

Many companies have demo versions. Many companies give software to
reviewers. It seems likely to me that the STC could evaluate technical
accuracy without much of a problem in the community. Why shouldn't
submission of software be a requirement for entry into an STC
competition?
