Like Michael said, the classic stock answers are "Sometimes I work too
hard" or "I am too much of a perfectionist" and so on. Yes, those are
stock answers. But they're also stock questions. When in Rome...
Seriously, those answers *work*. Martin Yate's book "Knock 'Em Dead" has
tons of answers to the kind of questions typically asked in interviews. A
very respected friend of mine recommended the book to me, but when I read
it I thought, "This stuff is too corny - there's no way anybody's going to
buy this crap if I say it."
But I took his advice, and when the interview came, I went ahead and said
that crap. They bought it. Bigtime.
I *swear* by that book now. So far (knock on wood) EVERY interview I've
had since I read that book has resulted in a job offer.
Job interviewing is a game. Learn the rules, and you'll probably win.
Don't worry about whether the rules make sense.
