I think you, and other replies I've seen to this question both here and
on the FrameUser's list, show out-of-date information. Any perceived
advantages Macs may once have had in DTP are gone. Any disadvantages Macs
may once have had in networking, compatability, and integration are gone.
Both platforms communicate well together; Macs running OS X will find
your NT network just as friendly as your Windows boxes do. Documents go
back and forth transparently in most word processing and DTP apps.

The only decision it takes to pick a Windows or Mac these days involves
your comfort with either operating system and your support network, if
you need one. I have a preferred platform, but can do my job easily in
Mac, Windows, Linux, etc., because the computer is just a tool to get
things done.

In other words, pick the platform you like; you'll be able to get
anything you need done just as well with one as with the other.

As for the territorial posturing suggested by your "mac snobs" comment
I'd have to suggest that you lighten up a bit... it's just an operating
system.

Mike
