MIL spec archaic? NEVER. ROTFL!

Many MIL specs are indeed caveman-esque in thier requirements. Othertimes, they
are written the way they are because somebody's 2nd cousin is the only one to
ever supply a certain type of product and they want to maintain a grip on a
captive clientele.

Unless your client IS the military, MIL spec should be used with MUCH caution
and revision.
