Unfort, I cannot extend the amount of time....holiday season and ecommerce
stuff. Therefore, I had my contract renegotiated.

I was hired under a "professional day" based on the number of days I
estimated to complete the project at 8 hours per day. Now that because of
this type of stuff, I need more time to do the same amount of output, I'm
now allowed to work the extra time and get paid for it. For my preferences,
this is fine.

You could ask your manager to add the time error-checking requires to the
project plans and schedules. If the errors are going to continue, it seems
that the project design and schedule should accurately reflect the work
being done and the time that work takes.
