Lorraine,

Have you tried using the Split Table command? Put your cursor in the last
cell in an existing table and press TAB. This creates a new empty row in
the table. Put your cursor in the first cell of the new empty row and
choose Split Table from the Table menu. The empty row is now a separate
table and is preceded by a paragraph mark. You can now expand this new
table to 3 rows and enter the appropriate text.

This will work for adding a new table on same page as existing table.
