A thought just hit me (ouch!) as I watched this thread
whoosh by, so here's a mini survey question:

When you know that information is incorrect in a document,
do you mark it as such or let it blend in with the good info?

For example, when I'm working in MS Word, I use the highlighter
on paragraphs were I need to check facts or update references.
In Frame, I use devices like #####need to verify##### to surround
text that I'm unsure of or say things like, Choose Edit > XXXXX
from the menu...

Does anyone else do that? If you don't, how do you make sure
you've plugged up all the holes before the doc hits the door?

There are those inquiring minds again...

extraneous content, but believes she has located some text that
has actual association to the product to stuff in there!)

would be pulled in to a meeting with the boss to explain to him why
these things were wrong. I'd have to repeat constantly that "I know
this information is wrong, it's being updated tomorrow when I get to
interview my SME" and "they're not finished deciding how this is going
to change, so the information can't be updated yet."...
