TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I apologize for being too vague. I get so focused on my own scenario
sometimes that I forget other people are doing far more interesting things!
This is just the plain ol' documentation that we ship with our products.
There's a ton of it, but that's all we want to search. We provide a mixture
of PDF, HTML, JavaHelp (forgot that) and, I believe, one Word file, which is
a template that our clients can use with one of our customizable products to
produce their own site-specific documentation.
Again, I am just trying to get the ball rolling for our team; to get some
idea of what the possibilities are. If there's absolutely no way this can be
done client-side, then that at least gives me a direction and some info to
take back to the others.
Thanks again,
Bobbie
