Re: UML and Tech Writing
Has anyone used UML to understand software
development?
How important is it for tech writers?
Richard de Vecchis
I read the basis UML texts when I started my first project where the developers were using the Rational Suite. I found it VERY helpful in understanding the jargon. (UML jargon uses familiar words in odd, restricted ways.) It also came in handy occasionally when a developer said "can't do that in this IDE*; what you suggested isn't UML", and I could show them that it was and they could.
