Hi Laurence,
if you are mainly interested in translating GUI terms you can use the MS
Glossaries. These glossaries contain the translation of nearly any element
for MS programs.
Glossaries for 35 languages can be downloaded from Microsoft's ftp-side
ftp.microsoft.com.
Go to /developr/MSDN/NewUp/Glossary.
It worked for me only with an FTP-client, I had no access to this side with
IE.
