Bob...the original poster was having a hard time finding a job. The poster
said s/he (I don't remember) was moving to somewhere else and wanted to know
if having skills in web content development would get him or her a job.
I don't think we're discussing (at least I wasn't) the minimum that could be
done to justify that they can be a content developer. I'm discussing what
skills would place them above "the great unwashed" and get a job without
having to resort to working for $7.00 per hour.

And this would do what toward making your resume standout among the 600
resumes someone like my client would get for a single position?

I can write. I only need a few basic tools. I think it is a silly notion to
compare the two. I can cut and save this post, reformat it and post it to a
web site without worrying about programming. I can't write a program that
will work on Mac/Win/Linux/Amiga without knowing those languages and having
the tools available to program.
I do not have to compile a Word document for example. Whatever I write can
be
put on any web page with virtually no programming experience.
