Don't forget that Andrew is writing from the perspective of somebody who
owns his own company, while many of us are still just "working for The
Man." He's getting more out of it in the long run.

in it for me to make it worthwhile. Yes, I want the company I work for to
succeed. But in these layoff-ridden times, I'm reluctant to give 60-80
hours a week to a company that might at any moment show me the door. And
I'd have nothing to show for my extra effort, unlike the executives whose
contracts usually contain generous exit clauses.

Hate to sound so jaded, but I've seen too much of this in the last year.

Glad you're back, Andrew, so we can start disagreeing about stuff!
