That was my main point of disagreement. The "failed"
part. Kinda put me off, though I've always been a TW
from day 1 (or at least in the field). I've seen some
really bad TWs who went to school for TW, and some
really good TWs who came over from other lines of
work. His statement was quite off from what I've seen.
