I apologize deeply and profoundly that some of you missed the boat and cannot comprehend what I meant. I meant merely to ask whether we can truly blame an employer for seeking labor that is much less expensive, for many reasons, including cost of living, standard of living, services available, etc.

So, let's not turn this thread and my comments into something they are not--do not assume I meant anything you dislike without checking with me first, and if you do feel free to make that assumption, please do not think you have the intelligence or sensitivity to do so and be right.

As for India, it's a more global economy these days. I dunno what to say, other than it is understandable for employers to screw the local economy and use slave labor from overseas . . . as a consumer, if you don't like it, you have little recourse, unless you are able to get together enough money to persuade your politicians in D.C. or unless you are organized enough to get a boycott to work . . ..
