RE: Graphics copied into MS Word 2002, format/quality question

I feel so badly that my question seemed to stop the light-hearted banter
that was going on ;?(.

To rephrase my question,

1) I am sending the output of my workflow to press via a PostScript
process (let's not worry whether it is PDF or a PS/PRN file at this
point).

2) Is there a quality difference between a Word doc that has all the
graphics, EPS, tiff, copied in rather than linked?

3) Additionally, how are EPS files stored inside Word? As WMF or is the
EPS format retained?

4) I know most graphics are converted to PNG when stored inside Word.
Are there any exceptions?
