...Plato's was only the last (I hope!) of several Parthian shots that
departing whirlers evidently thought A Good Idea At The Time.
Actually, there was a while there when I was
almost convinced that Parthian shots were
obligatory.

And thanks, Jane & Arlen, for the straight
skinny on the expression "Parthian shot".
