8 levels? Ouch....Even with the numbering, people will get lost pretty quickly. 1.2.2.2.2.2.2.3 and 1.2.2.2.3.2.2.3 look the same at first glance.

I would re-evaluate how you are organizing your information. You might be making too fine of a distinction for your headings. You shouldn't need anything lower than 5 levels.....I picked five rather intuitively (read: arbitrarily), but even five seems like too much.

How are you organizing your info?
