I use an accomplishment based resume. An Accomplishment
summarizes the Problem, Action, & Resolution for various
tasks performed, starting with an action verb. This
provides concrete examples of what you did and what
benefit was gained. No mention of what job position
I held at the time. The Chronological list of jobs is
on the second page, as it is secondary to what I have
shown I can accomplish. An example:

Created process documentation system that shortened
review cycle by 75%.

This form of resume leads (hopefully) to more specific
questions, for which I am prepared to answer in an
interview.

I need some advice from you all. I'm considering
taking a job outside the Tech Writing field and I need
your advice on how to handle it on my resume. If I go
from Sr. Technical Writer to... say... an office job,
bank teller, or retail for a while, how do I handle
it? If you've done this in the past, what did you put
on your resume.
