Studio B is the big one. ISTR that the yahoo groups
computerbookauthors was created just recently by a guy who didn't
know that the studio b list existed. No one that I know in the
industry actually reads it.

There's also a Waterside list (waterside and studio B are the two
big agencies for computer book authors) that is much lower traffic
than the studio B list and tends to focus on the yearly waterside
conference. A lot of the topics overlap.

Here's the description from their Web page:
Studio B's Computer Information Professionals discussion list consists of people in computer publishing, training and document creation. The list is made up of authors, publishers, editors, trainers, consultants, lawyers, agents, and booksellers. While many novice authors and publishing people are on the list, the list membership truly is a Who's Who of the computer industry.

I was curious if there are other lists for computer book authors. The only one I am aware of is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/computerbookauthors
