You shouldn't use "order of magnitude" in these examples. The easiest way
of understanding "order of magnitude" is as a logarithmic measurement. One
order of magnitude larger is 10X, two orders is 100X. So if your speed went
from 30 seconds to 15 seconds to complete a process , just say twice as
fast. If it goes from 30 seconds to 3 seconds, you can say an order of
magnitude improvement in speed -- but 10X faster seems more impressive.
