XML is but one technology you can use for single sourcing. It is by no
means required. AuthorIT can certainly be used for single sourcing,
regardless the fact that it doesn't *store* data as XML. And if AuthorIT
produces the types of output you need now and anticipate needing in the
near term, it is easier to learn and far more affordable than the higher
end alternatives.
