I had the same thing happen recently when I was unemployed. A month later,
the person called and profusely apologized. Turned out that she had gone
into premature labor, and had just got out of the hospital (the baby is
fine). Unfortunately for her, I had obtained a new job in the meantime.

My rule of thumb...If they don't set me up an interview time and place, I
keep on looking for a job no matter WHAT the original message was.
