You checkmark the checkbox? Ok.

I believe most of our British colleagues "tick" the box, which I like. However, I expect it would only confuse my American users.

I tend to use "check the Frammitz box."

If I'm not at a company that frowns on the unorthodox,
I use "checkmark" as a verb.
