Michael...I never said anything about underpromising. In fact, my
first point speaks toward that:
1) Hold yourself to a slightly higher quality standard then what the
customer is expecting.
Professionals in this business should go into a project with the
mindset of "what can I do to deliver the best product possible." That
becomes the baseline.
Doing so is not easy. Never said it was. However, as those around you
are being layed off during cutbacks, you'll watch them go out the
door as you type.
