Perhaps the original question is meant tongue-in-cheek. I certainly hope so
because something as minor as this certainly shouldn't be taking any time to
decide or fix. And it absolutely shouldn't be arousing the level of frustration
that the question seems to be showing.

Even if you can convince the client to have it redesigned, why bother? You'll
only convince them you're obsessing over fonts and inconsequential design issues
instead of getting the work done.

If the clients want it that way, just get to work writing the document. Just put
the path on its own line so that it doesn't shift other elements around and is
free to span the width of the page.

If it really bothers/annoys you, then we've hit deep into Tina the Techwriter
territory.
