I don't see what bad manners have to do with being honest and
straightforward. You don't have to use obscenities to be passionate, honest
and effective. In my 30 years in the workforce, both in small companies and
large corporations, I've never worked in an environment where "yelling and
cussing" were a common occurrence.  

Have we really come to a place where having manners and a decent vocabulary
are labeled "political correctness"? I much prefer a corporate culture where
people speak with respect, even when they disagree. I have never seen it to
be ineffective in terms of projects or deadlines. I certainly hope it IS
uncommon.
