Logitech has a cordless keyboard and cordless optical mouse. I plug a
small radio transmitter in my laptop's USB port. Because it is USB, I
can unplug it to take into a meeting, then come back my desk and plug
it back in without rebooting. About $99 for the rig. Works well.

This is the same laptop from which I run the second monitor.
