This list is too important to the TW community to allow it to wither or bloat.
Can we improve the exchanges by simplifying? Fewer and better messages?

1. Send new information only. Avoid sending en- or dis- couragements without including further
information.

2. Avoid answering messages that seriously annoy you except to correct matters of fact (in your
opinion of course).

3. Assume that every message is well-motivated, no matter how foolish it seems to you.

4. Write as if you wished that your well-respected colleague or beloved supervisor read every word
you wrote.

5. Immediately delete threads that do not contribute to your well-being (in your opinion).
Do not bite the bait. It takes your time and may waste ours.

6. Disagreements are good. Disparagements are bad. Be good.
