They are almost irrelevant now (display devices moved on) and certainly have
nothing to do with good color calibration (ICC etc).

I'm curious about how you arrived at that set of colors. There are 552
listed, so it's not the Dreaded Netscape Pallette, but it's also
(thankfully) not all 16 million that my computer supposedly supports.
How were these chosen? Do they represent some industry standard?
