I have a very practical way of dealing with all those subjects I think I
might want to know about in the future but there's no way in heck I can
possibly remember everything about. (I would've included it in my
earlier post but I forgot--imagine that!--until I had to move it this
morning.)

I have a big notebook with lots of tabs in it for all kinds of tech
writing and also general work-related topics. APIs. JavaHelp. Tips for
autonumbering in Frame. Writing white papers. Tips for creating
fuzz-free graphics in PDF. Graphics formats.

It is my brain dump. I print messages from the lists, articles from the
web, chop articles out of pubs. It keeps the information manageable and
it's all in one place. I don't have to worry about finding a bookmark or
keeping old e-mails. And I don't have to try to remember everything!
Yay!

Happy holidays everybody!

Lisa
