This is _only_ true for on-screen display if you are delivering MS Word
files. Otherwise, be aware that Word is often less than faithful about
representing images accurately on-screen. This is not true for printed
output. Regardless of how Word and FrameMaker display to the screen, if your
system is set up _correctly_, then the printed output or PDF will be
identical from both programs.

Where Word falls down repeatedly is in graphics handling from a layout
perspective, which quickly becomes a difficult task as the number of
graphics per page increases above one.

Cheers,

Sean

Truth be told, graphic handling is one of the few things
I miss from using MS Word. Because Word gloms onto graphics
and makes them its own, it's very good at outputting them
directly to screen or to print. FrameMaker has been much
nicer for other things, but it doesn't beat graphics into
submission the way Word did. It takes a much more hands-off
attitude.
C'est la vie. C'est la guerre.
