No... the resume should list qualifications and work experience
relevant (in some way) to the job you're seeking. It doesn't need to
be a complete history of how you earned the rent money. I did a few
months of temp work while trying to break into tech writing, and I
decided I'd rather have a four-month gap on the resume than have "word
processing temp" at the top of it.

On the other hand, if you're forced to fill out one of those obnoxious
"employment applications" where you need to list the addresses and
phone numbers of every job you held in the last seven years, you'd
have to include the retail job.
