Re: difficult screenshot questions
is really "how do I get the image to be 5.25" wide without the
blurriness that results from resizing it?"... all I can say is, I've
never found a way to resize screenshots significantly without losing
clarity.
I want to take the screenshot in our only tool, SnagIt, and have it display at
3.5" W
5.25" W
6.25" W
WITHOUT changing the dpi in Frame when I import it, because I understand that I should not change the resolution of a screenshot after I capture it.
2nd question:
I have one last question. SnagIt has an Image Resolution option. It explains:
Image Resolution may be used to conrol how other applications (e.g. Publishing programs like Microsoft Word) display and print SnagIt images.
Note: This does not affect how SnagIt displays and prints Images
You can set a resolution there. I set it at 96 dpi. I don't know if I should have done this or not, so I certainly don't know whether or not to recommend that others here do that (we do have a graphics artist, but he works exclusively with Marketing).
The problem is thaat when I take a screenshot at a smaller screen resolution, with the capture proportionately smaller, it displays at the same size as it does when I take it at 1074x768.
In summary, I take it at 96dpi and import it at 96 dpi. Should I set SnagIt to 96dpi?
