Cheer up - the only difference between you and a full-time employee is that you know when you could hit the streets. Nobody's job is very secure these days.

Anyway, contracting is a little like having Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome: you live with so much numbness that unemployment doesn't hit you as hard as an innocent who's not used to it.
