I'd suggest you try the exact opposite of what I suggested to Meena>

Meena, who wants her images to resize to fit within the margins, should make sure that "Float Over Text" is NOT checked when she imports her graphics. This will force her images to become part of the paragraph located at the insertion point. That paragraph obeys the page margins.

You should make sure the "Float Over Text" IS checked. This forces Word to treat the imported image as a true graphic element that, well, floats over the text. Because the image is not inserted into a paragraph, it doesn't have to obey the paragraph's margin restriction.
