If you want to stick with FrameMaker, then I suggest sticking with WWP as
well. What I don't understand is why you are using Frame if your content
isn't authored in it... Are you using Frame to author content at all or just
as an intermediary for WWP? If the latter, I think you could then ditch the
Frame+WWP workflow for one that fits the tool you're authoring content in.
[GASP! Did Bill just say ditch Frame+WWP? *g*]

You need to determine what workflow works best for you. If you author all
your content in Word, then why go through the hassle of importing Doc to
FrameMaker and then exporting to WWP? That's just as agonizing as authoring
in FrameMaker, exporting to RTF or HTML, and then working in RoboHelp... If
you're authoring in Word, check out RoboHelp, ForeHelp, Doc-to-Help,
TrueHelp, or another Word-friendly (if not Word-centric) tool.

A hammer is a cool tool, provided you use it as intended.

I'll be starting a new job in about a month and I'd like to get some advice
on what tool(s) to choose for producing quality online help, plus printed
documentation.

I am currently using FrameMaker + WPP for single sourcing documentation, and

it works pretty well. However, each time I want to put information online, I

have to first import it to FrameMaker, then WWP. This process sounds a bit
complex to me.

What are my requirements? Well, I'd like to have a tool enabling me to
easily update my online helps - on a daily basis - and to produce online
help and printed documentation from a single source information. I would not

like to loose all the functionalities provided by FrameMaker...

I thought about buying Epic Editor... but it seems a bit too expensive for
my
company's budget. Is anybody using it?
