Was that tongue-in-cheek or did you actually take offense? I saw nothing
wrong with the post. Pretty accurate if you ask me. And last time I checked,
Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, Denver, Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle,
and San Francisco weren't on the East Coast. ;)

Basically, if you want to PLAY with the big shots, you have to PAY with the
big shots. The salaries are very high, and so is the cost of living. There
*are* exceptions though... You just have to be lucky enough to find them.

Is that comment supposed to be some sort of elitist slam? Are you implying
that not living in some overcrowded, Yankee, East Coast city is suffering?
I'll take a Southern city over New York any time.

The latest 'Information Week' lists IT staff salaries adjusted
for cost of living.

Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Atlanta, Austin, Denver, St. Louis
Minneapolis/St. Paul, Chicago, Washington. D.C., Los Angeles,
Seattle, San Francisco, Boston, and New York.

Which proves if you want a high adjusted income, you have
to suffer.
