Information Mapping is more than the idea of "chunking" and bulleted lists.
It is a very specific (and some would say restrictive) methodology for
documentation.

I haven't been to a seminar, but saw the materials about 15 years ago and
they were paper-based at that time. They classified information into
categories of "maps" (Process Map, Procedure Map, Concept Map, and so on). I
think they had a total of 9 but have since pared it down to 7. These maps
now translate quite well into what we'd call today information types. Each
map had specific subordinate categories called labels. In today's terms,
they'd be information elements (for instance, a procedure had a title,
overview, steps, etc.). The stated which elements/labels were required and
which were optional.

All of this seems to fit quite nicely into the current wave of information
modeling, single sourcing, information architecture, and the like.

I think it'd be well worth your time. It is expensive though.
