I've started several small businesses that were successful.
I used how-to-do-it books from Nolo Press. (nolo.com)
I didn't spend any money on lawyers or accountants.
I didn't have any business plans, although a business plan
is probably a good idea. For accounting, start with Quicken
or QuickBooks.
