Oh I know. Frame does drive me nuts. Actually, we got to a point where
Frame and Word were giving us pretty much identical outputs. To its
credit, Frame seems to integrate better with Acrobat - but that's not
suprising because they're both Adobe products. Graphically, I find Word
has a better rendering engine and seems to be less fussy. As always its 6
of one half-a-dozen of another.

Also, although I was involved, actually the person doing the work was a
Frame veteran with 6+ years working with the tool. So it wasn't
necessarily a "we don't know Frame problem" it was merely finding the
format and layout that didn't produce crappy results.

BTW we were using the Adobe PostScript printer driver.

My client wasn't unhappy with the time we spent. They were pleased we
solved a problem that, to-date, no other tech writers had solved.

I used to be big into Quake II and the III. But since I found half-life -
its been all down hill. Those games are terrible and I don't blame
companies for wanting to block their use on the internal network. However,
the flip side is that it is a great way to bond with the nerds.
