Subject:Re: Interviews: Where do you see yourself in 5 .years From:"R. Johnson" <rjayz -at- yahoo -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Fri, 15 Jun 2001 11:32:02 -0700 (PDT)
My answer to this question is always the same:
"To learn as much as I can; to gain as much experience
and insight as possible; to prepare for change; and to
be ready to 'turn on a dime'...
...and also to retire to my villa in the south of
France with my lottery and/or game show winnings,
where I do nothing but play tennis, make art, lounge
on the beach, race around town in my cute little
sports car, and 'lunch' with friends."
The boss/interviewer response is almost always a nod,
a chuckle, and a, "Yeah, me too," at which point I
know I've won them over, and anything else is mine for
the asking so I move in for the kill:
"Now how about that job/raise?" <wink, smile>
Hasn't failed me yet.
